F.A.Q's

Q) Are you registered?

A) Yes! The title of RMT, MT or use of the term Massage Therapy are all protected so ONLY a person who is registered with the College of Massage Therapists may use them.

Q) What do I need to do to prepare for my in home massage?

A) Just pick out an area in your home that can accommodate a massage table (approx. 8ft x 4ft) and you are comfortable in, and we’ll bring everything else needed. If you would be more comfortable using your own linens, that’s totally fine, just let us know beforehand.

Q) Can I still get an insurance receipt if the massage is in my home?

A) Yes! Regardless of where the massage takes place, as long it’s provided by an RMT, and you personally pay for the treatment, you can get a receipt.

Q) What should I do with my hair?

A) If you have hair long enough to put up, a high ponytail or bun is great. Otherwise, just leave it down and it can be brushed out of the way. Braids and low ponytails/buns are not great because they affect the ability of your head to lie flat on the table.

Q) What measures are you taking regarding Covid-19 prevention?

A) All clients and practitioners must wear a clean mask while within 6ft of each other. Screening will be done prior to appointments to ensure clients have no symptoms or contact with any known cases. Practitioners conduct self-assessments on a daily basis. Medical grade disinfectants are used to wipe down the table and all supplies used for the massage. Hand sanitizer is used directly before entering and after departing the client’s house. Linens are all washed and dried in the highest heat setting and separate bags are used for clean & dirty laundry.

Q) I don’t have/I’m out of benefits but my spouse/parent/sibling, etc still has lots, can you put the massage under their name?

A) The receipt for a massage MUST detail the name of the person receiving the massage, the date provided, and the length of treatment. Any alterations to what ACTUALLY took place are considered insurance fraud and the RMT would risk losing their license to practice.
